Aug 14, 2004-001 - Conroe TX CASI. TEXAS OPEN Held at Lone Star Convention and Expo Center, 9055 Airport Rd. East of I-45. Top 3 Chili & Top Show qualify for TICC. Cook where you camp. Plenty of RV space, no hookups. Park opens 1 PM Thursday. Cooks party Fri. night, pot luck dinner Saturday night, music provided by Nigel 'Taco' Delgado both nights. CASI chili 32 oz cups will be used-practice for TICC Awards 1-20 chili, and 1-3 show): $30 turn-in 2 PM. Benefits Montgomery County Food Bank. Canned or non perishable food items will be collected Friday & Saturday. Kids Cooking for Kids Chili (awards 1- 10 & finalists, Top K4K show): $10, Noon turn-in, (Benefits Big Bend Youth Center) Corporate Challenge (Awards 1-3 Chili): $50 (includes CASI entry), 1 PM turn-in.
