Texas Chili Fest 2003
San Marcos TX CASI. Texas Chili Fest 2003. Held in beautiful downtown San Marcos, on San Marcos River. Entry fee $40 turn-in 12 Noon. Benefits Blood centers in Houston, Austin & San Antonio, the 3 Amigos Foundation and the Food Bank of San Marcos, and scholarships. Salsa entry $20, Beans $5. Jalepeno eating contest, whistling contest, horseshoes and washer toss. Crazy hat and animal call contests. Limited to 250 cooks. You must bring cover to cook under, no RV's on site, must use propane no open fires. Contact Joe Mooneyham 713-876-5026. VIP parking, no RVs. Kids activities. This cookoff honors Earl Campbell. Security on site. Set up Friday or Saturday. Live music noon to 10PM
