11th Annual Texas Hill Country Pod Cookoff
December 6, 2003 - Boerne TX CASI. 11th Annual Texas Hill Country Pod Cookoff. Held at the Kendall County Fairgrounds in charming Boerne, TX. The cookoff is being held in conjunction with "Oma's Christmas Fair", which will be going on all weekend at the Fairgrounds. There will be a multitude of homemade crafts and other items available to help complete your Christmas shopping. On Saturday night the "Weihnachts Fest Parade" will be going on in downtown Boerne which is the largest lighted parade in Texas. Entry: $18, payable to "Texas Hill Country Pod". Turn-in: 2:00PM. Also, Jackpot "Green Chili" cookoff and Bean cookoff. Other events include a Christmas decorating contest and a "Best Soup" contest, followed by a soup supper and live entertainment Saturday night.
